Dress Code/Uniform

2025-2026 Success Academy Dress Code


Shirts

  • Shirts must only be solid color with no graphics or writing.
    • Families MUST provide these.
  • Shirts must have sleeves
  • No transparent or see-through tops, tops that bare the midriff, strapless, low-cut clothing, or tops and outfits that provide minimum coverage or are suggestive are prohibited. No halters, backless dresses/tops, tube tops, tank tops, muscle shirts, or any clothing that may be distracting.

Jackets

  • Jackets must be solid colors with no graphics.
  • Jackets must be unzipped.
  • A dress code-appropriate shirt must be worn underneath all jackets.
  • No hoodies

Pants

  • No Jeans allowed. The black or gray is admissible. Any variation of blue is not.
  • No athletic wear is permitted, including sweatpants.
  • Sweatpants or joggers (in an athletic style) are not permitted.
    • The only jogger type allowed is one made of khaki or black colored.
  • Long pants (only) or shorts that reach the knee are permitted.
    • Pants that have holes, rips, or tears, and skin are not allowed.
    • No dresses, skirts, or skorts may be worn.
  • Pants must be worn fastened at the waist and with no undergarments showing.
  • Clothing that indecently exposes undergarments or body parts is prohibited.
  • No leggings or tights

Shoes

  • Shoes will be closed-toe and comfortable for the school day.
  • No Crocs or Slides.
  • No bedroom slippers or heels will be permitted.

Accessories

  • No jewelry of any kind
  • Hats, caps, bandanas, hoods, sweatbands, keychains, or sunglasses are prohibited.
  • Backpacks, purses, or bags of any kind will not be permitted in the building.
  • Electronics of any kind, including watches, are not allowed.
  • Cosmetics, perfume, or deodorant are prohibited and will not be brought on campus.

Food

  • Students are allowed to bring a clear, plastic water bottle that has not been opened, or they may purchase one while on campus.
  • There is a $10.00 limit for the amount of cash students may bring to school.
  • Candy, snacks, and food items are prohibited.

Dressing for Success

  • Success Academy's dress code aligns with SDLC policy. Students are provided with all the necessary materials needed to be successful during their time at Success Academy. Refusal to adhere to the Success Academy Dress Code policy may result in disciplinary action that will impact a student's transition date.
  • The administration reserves the right to make adjustments to the dress code on a case-by-case basis.

Students who are out of dress code will not be permitted to attend The Success Academy for that day. Students who ride the bus will be sent back home on another bus unless parents can pick them up. If the parent does not answer or declines to pick up the student, they will be sent home on the bus.
